AIMS & Associates Ltd is a service that provides dedicated to high quality management support and consultancy to colleges, universities and to other education-related or public organisations. In staffing, skills and services, it is the successor of AIMS, which was created by universities to serve universities and was the principal inter-university organisation of its kind between 1967 and 2003. There is no legal connection between AIMS and AIMS & Associates Ltd.

Our main role is to help clients obtain value for money, achieve and maintain a high quality of service, improve or demonstrate organisational effectiveness and make best use of resources. We help them to maximise the effectiveness and efficiency of their strategies, administrative policies and practices, including managerial and organisational structures, staffing levels, systems and procedures.

We achieve this by:

• undertaking assignments commissioned individually or jointly by HE, FE or other educational institutions;
• facilitation of internal reviews;
• carrying out non-financial audits, which may be prior to institutional audits;
• co-option to working groups to consider and determine University policy;
• providing ad hoc advice to institutions;
• arranging seminars and presentations;
• constantly updating the knowledge and expertise of the consultancy staff to ensure that their advice reflects best practice and state-of-the-art technology;
• communicating from time to time with other consultancy services to provide mutual support.
